Help / Security & Privacy / Access Rights

In the Security & Privacy → Access Rights section, you can temporarily grant another user access to your profile so that this person can take over managing your profile. This is especially practical if you want your profile to be maintained, for example, by an agency, an assistant, or another trusted person. Important: This explicitly concerns access rights to the profile (profile management) – meaning that someone else is allowed to edit your profile.

How access via key works

In this section, an access key/code is displayed or generated, which you pass on to the desired person:
  • Copy the code (the code is displayed to you in the access rights)
  • Send the code to the other user
  • The other user can use the code and thereby gains full access to your profile
As soon as access is active, the other user can manage your profile to the same extent as if they were the profile owner themselves – including the ability to change settings and edit profile-related data.

Validity and automatic termination of access rights

Please note two important security mechanisms:
  • The code is only valid for 60 minutes. After this time has elapsed, it can no longer be used.
  • As soon as you log in again, the other user automatically loses all access rights, and you regain full access to all settings and data of your profile.
This means: Access is deliberately time-limited and is additionally automatically terminated as soon as you log in again – so that you can quickly regain control at any time.

Important security notes

Since the access is full, you should only pass the code on to persons you trust 100%. It’s best to send it via a secure, private channel and not in public chats or groups. If you are unsure whether you really want to grant access, it’s better to wait or contact support before sharing sensitive profile rights.
